Luis Mojica is a singer-songwriter.
In 2016, he released his debut studio album titled Wholesome. That same year he toured the country with the avant-garde cello group Rasputina & sold out of the limited pressing. In 2019, he released How A Stranger Is Made. This album was his most personal work in many years. The album explores death, sexual trauma & the male identity. He began a national tour in early 2020 until lock down began. Not being able to access a studio or piano, he turned to a demo of 10 songs & handed them to his friend & producer Evan Glenn Adams. These 10 songs became his most recent release: Songs From The Land. The album is a celebration of nature & life, while also contemplating cycles of oppression. It's a sonic journal that documents the journey of decolonizing & reconnecting the Earth as a being, to one another as relatives, and to the self as sacred. |
